Good Gentles,

I realize that I have avoided doing something I should have because I hate
to turn away fine classes. I received so many class proposals for the
February session of University that I could not schedule a significant
number of them. My decision process was difficult. It consisted of a
combination of things:
when I heard from people,
limiting individual teachers' number of classes,
priority for officers and marshal training,
how often the class or track had been offered recently.

In the end it also came down to "Chancellor's whim" as there was no
objective way to winnow out the extra classes. There were just too many
proposals for the available space.

My apologies to folks who were not scheduled for this session and discovered
this fact only when the Acorn was published. Between a case of life (no
power for several days) and really not wanting to tell you "No", I didn't.
It was not courteous and I am sorry.
