Greetings,
My recommendation would be to publish a menu and discuss *intended*
ingredients with those who enquire. I'd also recommend that a list of
ingredients be posted just outside the kitchen as the feast is prepared.
"Why this method?" you ask?
Many of you have cooked feasts. You know that sometimes things do not go as
planned in the kitchen and last minute substitutes are made. Since we're all
running around like headless poultry back there, we may forget that someone
mentioned a specific allergy last month when they emailed. If the posted
ingredient list is updated as changes happen, folks with dietary constraints
can merely take a peek at the list just prior to feast and know what is safe
for them. The list also would help to reduce the amount of visitors in a
busy and potentially dangerous environment.
Comments, y'all?
