Dear Gentles,
I have received several questions in response to my
previous announcements regarding entertainments at
12th Night. I hope that the following will clear up
any further confusion.

1. Here is the information on the Royal Bard
Competition, per the current Kingdom Royal Bard, Lady
Deirdre O'Bardon:
The competition to select the Royal Bard will begin
after the morning court at Twelfth Night. There will
be either two or three elimination rounds of
competition. The first round is open to all. Only
those chosen from that round will advance to the
second round. The final round of competition is
entertaining Their Majesties and the High Table at
feast.

First round entries cannot exceed three minutes.
Second and final round entries cannot exceed five
minutes. Variety in the entertainment presented is
desirable. Each competing bard should include at
least one piece that is either period or original.
Questions regarding the competition may be addressed
to the current Royal Bard, Deirdre O'Bardon, at
deccles at erols.com.

2. Entertainers will be signing up for half hour slots
during the day in the Merchants Hall. You may sign up
for more than one slot, within reason. See me, Lady
Kilmeny, when you arrive.

3. We are providing an area in which to have the Post
Revel and talented drummers and dancers to lead the
hafla. If you want to join in as instrumentalist or
dancer, you are MORE than welcome. Please bring your
own refreshments and something to sit on, if you so
require (rugs and some pillows & chairs will be
provided). Whether you wear garb is optional. Be
comfortable, have fun. If you have any questions or
concerns regarding the hafla, please direct them to me
-- Lady Kilmeny -- at the_kilmeny at yahoo.com.

Thank you for the many messages of interest. We appear
to have several talented performers quite eager to
share their talents with the kingdom, and I look
forward to being part of their large and appreciative
audience.

YIS,
Lady Kilmeny
12th Night Staff
