Greetings!
I wanted to reprint the rules for the Royal brewer competition here, for any
who might be interested and have not yet visited the Kingdom A&S Fair
web site ( http://kasf.atlantia.sca.org/ ).
Entrants for Royal Brewer will need to enter a minimum of three separate
entries, in at least two separate categories. This means two or more
entries in one category, and at least one entry in another category. There
are no maximums, but try to keep the total to your best ten items. The
judging
will follow the Atlantian brewing form. Meads will all be judged together,
beers (ales and lagers) together, etc. following the categories on the form.
For entrants entering more than three total, we will take the average of the
points from the three best entries (keeping to two from one category,
and one from another) to determine a numerical score. There will be prizes
awarded for specific entries and/or candidates based on judges'
discretion. The categories for prizes may include best single entry, best
documentation, best label, most ambitious... or something else, if the work
presented just calls out for some kind of award.
Good luck to all, and safe travelling this weekend!
