[MR] RE: A&S Competitions

Well I don't normally enter A&S contests because I don't keep my work so
it's hard to display. I did enter once in one catagory and end up winning
in another catagory - funny that. I have entered as display only. I have
put out display and asked for comments. All have been interesting and none
nasty but I never enter with the expectation of "winning". I know I'm not
that great but I do look for feed back that points me to new sources
ideas. I much prefer University. And if an event has a "library corner"
Where books may be prerused and questions asked I do enjoy that. As I have
endured cancer treatment this past year I have seen and heard about several
interesting things but lacked the stamina and creative juice to do anything
with it. I am hoping that is changing soon as I complete my Chemo. I am
working on entries for a Phoenix Eye - I should be able to hold on to them
that long anyway. Nasty comments on judging sheets...well we all have cat
hairs in our cornflakes some days...
