Greetings from Bryce de Byram, OL, autocrat for
Sapphire Joust IV!

For many years the Barony of Caer Mear held Emerald
Joust at Camp Brady Saunders, in conjunction with a
celebration of the Kingdom’s Birthday. Ever since the
los of that site, folks have ask us to return to a
Four Day, Three Night Camping Event for a “Pennsic Dry
Run” at a Wet Site in the center of the Kingdom. After
many years search and several sites that just didn’t
quiet work out we have found a new home, and thus we
are proud to present to you: Sapphire Joust IV/
Kingdom Birthday.

Below you will find a temporary website with
Pre-Registration Information. This site will be
updated and linked to the Baronial website as soon as
possible.

Please Note: We are attempting to “Try new ideas” and
do things a little different than we traditionally
done events in this Kingdom. For one thing, this site
has a cap of 900 people, and like Kingdom 20th Year,
once we reach that cap, we will unfortunately have to
turn folks away. The only way to assure that you can
share in the fun is to Pre-Register. There are several
benefits to Pre-Registration as well. First there is a
price discount, also if Groups (households, baronies,
etc.) wish to reserve together they will be guaranteed
unlimited room for their private encampments.

Pre-Registration is vital to the success of this event
and I encourage you all to send in your information
and checks as soon as possible.

A note about pricing: You will see that there is one
Flat Fee for the Event, not a Daytrip or Camping Fee.
That is correct. Unfortunately, these days it is
impossible for us to find a wet site for 1000 people
at the traditional Atlantian Prices for a Long
Weekend. I assure you that this is not a price to pad
the pockets of Caer Mear, or the Kingdom. Folks have
asked us for this type of site, and we are trying to
meet that need. The tradeoff is an increase in cost
and that is reflected in the fees.

This event will be run liken to Pennsic: I.E. A
camping event with tents and pavilions in which all
activities will take place. Many wonderful activities
celebrating Caer Mear and Atlantia will take place
here, and we encourage you all to come.

Joust that you can join off the web site to keep up
with the latest news.
