If you pluck them, yes, you do get the feathers-which have those
uses even today (assuming, that is, if your bird hasn't been
plucked at the abattoir, as is typically done today). You also
get to make cracklings from the goose skin, aka gribenes, a
delicacy sought after all over Europe. Better than candy. :)
