The PUUC DrumCircle Presents
Tao Te Drum Workshop
For over twenty years, Daveed has developed a unique drumming style that creates a synchronicity between many of the world's folk drumming cultures and improvisational jazz forms. Tao Te Drum was born from that musical process.
As a fusion of Eastern and Western traditions, Daveed has developed a learning process that is a comprehensive, holistic approach to ethnic hand drumming, where learning how to drum is just as important as learn what to drum. With a strong emphasis on the mind/body connection, students explore new ways to play drums, and play is definately the operative word here when it comes to learning how to drum. If it isn't fun, don't do it!
The schedule will be as follows:
9:30am - 10am Introductions and check in
10am - 1pm 1st session
1pm - 2pm Lunch
2pm - 5pm 2nd session
5:30 - 6:30 Dinner
