[MR] A little more on competitions

My apologies for the blank response, cursed government
computers just arent period! It's a fad, computers,
and will eventually go away!

I am enjoying this thread, so offer this small bit:
Again, I may just be thick skinned, and blessed for
it, but the very first scribal competition I entered
resulted in just such a positive response as stated
below. Not only was I deeply commended for my efforts,
but by a laurel in the field no less. In addition,
there was the requisite "excellent effort, you might
consider this next..." line that was well recieved and
very helpfull. My second effort was well recieved,
closer to the mark, and still had room for
improvement. My experiences have been positive, and I
commend those who judged me for their efforts. The
moral I suppose, is keep trying. There are many judges
who are NOT out to insult or demean you. Do your
research, be well versed in your subject matter, and
above all enjoy what you are doing. That is after all
why we are all doing this right?
