Greetings all,
I have had similar experiences with my brewing, though
I havent entered any in competition yet. I think
Sapphire Joust will bring out two or three of my
bottles though. I have a policy, if I dont think the
brew is potable I drink it all my self. My lady thinks
this is a devious trick but it is not. I truly think
that every brew I make is excellent, I'm just not sure
others would agree. When I offer samples I make it
very clear that my feelings can NOT be hurt by
negative comments. Trust me, if you dont like it,
there's more for me!
To that end, judges beware, James ap Llywelyn's
lemon/mint cordial can be used as LAMPOIL in a pinch.
The white cranberry mead is an experiment to see if
the cran will be too tart. If it is, and a judge tells
me so in harsh terms, I will be most pleased and
record it all in my journal.
