This is not a friend of a friend situation, I will not name the names of the
people that have caused this horror to happen to me on-line, I feel that is
rather callous and dishonorable. If it is requested of me by Kingdom
officers or Order Principals, then I will address specifics in private. As a
scribe/illuminator and an artisan there was a time when I felt like giving
up and wouldn't enter open displays or competitions due to the fact that I
was flat out told by certain members of the Peerage that I wasn't good
enough to do anything, eventhough I had been creating award scrolls for the
Kingdom and provided prizes for various Kingdom and Baronial events. It was
also made aware to me that this attitude was given due to the household I
belong to and personal feelings about me which were held against me. I let
the attitude that I wasn't good enough and I'm never going to be recognized
because this person or that person holds a personal issue against me, stop
me from doing what I enjoy.
I've recently realized that as long as I'm happy with me and making an
effort, I'm doing the right thing. I've also learned that there is a
difference between constructive criticsm (sp) and disparaging comments. I
was never into entering competitions to win but to learn and grow and when
you recieve constructive comments learn from them and if you recieve the
disparaging comments take them as what they are comments that aren't worth
worrying yourself over.
