[MR] reactions to competitions

I'm primarily a fighter (rapier) rather than an artisan, but I would like
to share a thought.  When I go on the field, I'm not there to win.  That
is, I will certainly try to defeat my opponent, but whether I'm fencing
Gunther, Alejandro, or a brand new Blue Scarf, the only person I'm truly
competing against is myself.  I'm not in it for the prizes, the scarves, or
the titles.  I'm there for the fun of fencing and the perfection of my art.
So my advice is simply, do your best.  And next time, do better.
