My apologies if any of you get this multiple times - I figured that
cross-posting would get me the most response, so please bear with me!
I am seeking teachers for a new track of classes that I am hoping to organize
for the next session of University, which is being held in Lochmere on June
7th. The tentative name of the track is "An SCA Practicum" - I envision it
incorporating those subjects that help us in playing this wonderful game
called the SCA.
What could be included? Just about anything - use your imagination! Some
past classes that would fit well in this category are those such as the ones
taught at last University on "Common Courtly Courtesy", and "Conflict
Resolution". Other ideas, just off the top of my head, might be such topics
as, What Does the Board Do?" or "Going to Your First Event for Under $30".
Be creative - the sky's the limit on this one, I expect!
I had already sent in a proposal in for my class on Research & Documentation
- this time I've asked for a two-hour time slot (as some of those who took it
in February suggested). Therefore, I am looking for class proposals that
would fill up the remaining hours of the day.
If you are interested in teaching a class on this track, please email me
directly - once I have the track filled and organized, I will then forward
all of the information on to the Chancellor of the University in one email.
The deadline for track proposals is March 1st - if you could send even a
tentative proposal to me by February 25th, I should have enough time to pull
everything together before that deadline. Final wording on your proposed
class will be due to the Chancellor by March 15th; therefore I would
appreciate getting finalized wording for your class by March 8th. In case
this is confusing:
Per the University website: "Individual proposals and final tracks are due 2
½ months before the session: 11/15 for February, 3/15 for June, and 7/15 for
October.
"Three months prior to each session, track proposals are due. This is merely
to reserve the track space. Final tracks with the data for all classes are
due 2 ½ months prior to the session."
Please email me directly if you have any questions or need clarification.
In service to Atlantia and Courtesy,
Dame Margaret Cameron
