[MR] Event listing, making plans, etc.

Actually Signora, what started this thread was me trying to find out where Crown Tourney is going to be. I've started doing a little amatuer cake decorating and I needed to know if I was available for a friend's wedding. Master Herveus is a merchant. I can see him planning his events far ahead and me doing the same more and more in the future.

My main concern is for Kingdom Level events. Right now both Coronation and Crown are listed as "Atlantia/TBD". While I understand that bids don't always come in on time, if the bid deadline is 6 months out then the decision for who gets the event is probably in the 4-5 month range. At that point it would be nice if the calendar was changed to show which group is hosting the event. An example of what I'm talking about is the last event listed on the calendar page at the moment. "Rapier Workshop/Costal Champions - Cathanar - TBD, NC. I might not know much about this event but I know the title, which group is hosting it and the fact that the event will be somewhere in North Carolina. This gives me enough information that if I'm interested in the event I can probably find out more information by going to the groups website.

As far as local events are concerned, right now April lists just 2 events, one of which is Coronation. I'm sure that those will not be the only events happening in April. Probably this is because the Autocrats don't have their flyers in yet. I have noticed that our wonderful Web Minister does a pretty good job of listing events for some months and not so good for others. I have no doubt that is at least in part because he doesn't always get information quickly. Hopefully that will change in the future. I know that in the Northern Region the groups have a pretty good idea of when they are going to host events as much as six months to a year out. I'm wondering if there is a way to let the Kingdom officials know that a group is planning an "X" event on "thus and such" date before everything (such as site and fees) is set in stone? Or do you need to have all the information before you can tell the Kingdom you're planning an event? I remember the one time I autocratted an event I was told to send in the event registration form with the flyer. My impression is that at least in Storvik that's the way we generally do things. So you need to have everything ready before anything goes up on the web page or in the Acorn. Am I right in this impression?
