[MR] reactions to competitions

Well isn't that interesting, except I haven't seen
negative fruit except for compalints about losing.
And no, I'm not saying that you competitions are an
integral part that SCA won't survive without them.

But they exist in SCA as a fact, so entering and then
complaining when you lose is not positive fruit.  Not
entering is OK too.  It's that whole idea that one
doesn't enter because not winning is upsetting that
disturbs me.

If you're not entering because you get upset when you
lose then how are you learning to improve yourself and
your own education?  If you're not entering because
you enjoy display that's OK too.  The question is what
started that attitude?  And is the result positive?
