Well, that's one of the things that makes Yeoman archery so...challenging...

Basically, for your sword hand, it's easy, have a sword with basket hilt, 
boom, you're set.

For the offhand, You either need to wear a full gauntlet all the time 
(which can be done if you're a longbowman, so long as you would hold the 
bow and the shield in the same hand), or somehow have the ability to have a 
center grip baskthilt shield or something.

Alternatively, authorize two sword, and carry two backup swords :)
