I had several requests for the recipe for the iced cookies from the Baronial Hospitality.  Here it is: 3/4 cup shortening1 cup sugar1 egg1/4 cup molasses2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1-1/2 teaspoons ground ginger1 teaspoon ground cinnamon3/4 teaspoon ground cloves1/2 teaspoon saltFROSTING:2 cups confectiones' sugar3 tablespoons butter1 teaspoon grated lemon peel3 to 4 tablespoons lemon juice In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar.  Add egg; mix well.  Beat in molasses.  Combine dy ingedients; add to creamed mixture and mix well.  Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.  Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.  Remove to wire racks; cool.  For frosting, cream sugar, butte and lemon peel in a mixing bowl.  Gradually add lemon juice, beating until frosting reaches desired spreading consistency.  Frost cookies.  Yield: about 4-1/2 dozen cookies.
