As we welcome the return of spring to our fair lands, it is time once again to
choose the heirs to Atlantia's throne. Please come and join us for this
celebration of renewal.

A&S Competitions:

Tempore Atlantia 1250-1492 Currently scheduled competitions are:
--- Prizes for Best in Show and Best Documentation sponsored by the KMoAS

--- Sideless Surcote competition with prizes for best surcote and best documentation

--- Embroidery competition with prizes for counted thread embroidery and surface

--- Competition with prizes for men's and women's Italian Renaissance clothing

Italy is acceptable; documentation is required for all entries.
--- Competition with prizes for an item with an equestrian theme on it or in
it - such as illumination, leatherwork, poetry, song, etc -- and an item that
would go on a horse - such as saddles, halters, headstalls, reins, barding,
bits, sturrips, armor, etc. Items worn by a rider will also be considered if
documented as to how they are specifically for a rider - for example, armor
for mounted combat or jousting that would never be used by a foot soldier. Sponsored

Scrivener Royal Competition: This competition will determine who holds the
title of Scrivner Royal for the next year. For details, contact Brandwyn
Alston of the Rift (brndalston at aol.com).

Baking Competition: Theme is "Flowers". Entries should either incorporate
flowers/flower products or be made to resemble them. Entries must be edible
and documentation should include an ingredients list. Use of the kitchen will
NOT be available. Contact Sveva Lucciola (ladysveva at yahoo.com or (919)

Merchants: To reserve space, please contact Lord Robert Maccuswell
(336-226-8344, rmaccuswell at yahoo.com). Lord Robert is also taking reservations
for pavilion space around the list field.

Feast: A delicious feast highlighting the bounty of spring will be prepared by
Helwynn Ivelchild (919-388-9307, helwynn at hotmail.com). Feast is limited to 150
people so make your reservations early.

A lunch of bread, ham or turkey, cheese, hard-boiled egg, fruit, and lemonade
will be available on Saturday for $4.

Site: Millstone 4-H Center, 1040 Mallard Dr., Ellerbe, NC 28338. Site opens at
5 PM on Friday and closes at 11 AM on Sunday. The site is DRY. Pets and ground
fires are also not allowed. Parents should be aware that there are a lake and
a rocky creek on the site and should plan to supervise their children
accordingly. Cabins have electricity and sleep 8 inside and 3 on a screen
porch. Two shower houses are available on site. Two cabins are handicapped
accessible as are both shower houses.
