[MR] War College idea

I have a prospecive site in the Wash DC area that could be used to have indoor
fencing and heavy melee practice/ war college.

The site is available mostly in December and June, has 3 LARGE rooms (think
the size a a hotel ballroom) and isn't concerned about floor "damage" due to
knees & elbows.  Would also be good for a large court.  The room's accoustics
will only let one "class" be held at a time in each room, but each room can
easily hold 100+ people.

There are no kitchen facilities, but we can bring in food.  It is handicap
accessable.

There is also a large open field across the street that we could use if the
weather is good.

It would need to be a "day" event - similar to University (9am-6pm type of
schedule)

Here are my questions:

1) Would this be of interest to anyone?

2) Do you think we could get at least 200 people to come? (covering site fees)

3)  Is December a bad time to do it and is June just too nice to be indoors?

4) Are there 2 marshalls in the area (Ponte Alto, Storvik, etc) that would be
willing to help plan this?


I would be considering this for an event in Dec 2003 or June of 2004.
