My apologies if you are getting this more than once...

Come ye, one and all, to Charlesbury Crossing's second Market Day at
King's Mountain!

http://charlesbury.atlantia.sca.org/event/marketday2.htm

We have modified the fighting format slightly, though it will remain
melee scenarios. For heavy fighters who come out, Lord Mark D'Aubigny
shall run melee scenarios throughout the morning, with the format
depending upon the number of fighters attending. In the afternoon there
shall be a grand melee, and the winner shall take home a pair of wooden
chairs. Nay, not viking chairs, but chairs with both sides and back,
which break down into 4 pieces of plywood, none larger than 2' by 3'.
Feel like a king upon a throne in these wonderfully portable chairs.

For rapier fighters who come out, we shall have melee as well. Lord
Ronan MacStalker shall run the scenarios, concluding with a grand melee.
Again the victor shall carry away 2 of these fine wooden chairs with
which to spiff up their tourney shades!

These are not the only prizes to be awarded at Market Day, either. Look
for an announcement soon of the prizes being offered for the tabletop
seige engine and Best Heraldic Display contests.

There will also be shopping, of course! Clean out your closets and come
to sell those things ye no longer need, or come to hunt bargains amongst
the wares others have to sell. In addition to the items being offered
by private parties, several merchants have expressed their desire to
come and display their wares.

In short, you have many reasons to make the trip to Market Day. I hope
to see you there the weekend of 15-17 Nov!
