tropical vacation to address the Tavern...)
Here is the list of winners from the Tempore Atlantia
held at Crown Tourney, with the following caveat: I
left the actual written list at home, so I'm working
from memory here as far as spelling goes!
Best Poetry, Best Documentation (overall) and Best in
Show: Lord "Rory" an Cu. Sidenote: who knew a bard
would be so dangerous in a static A&S competition? ;-)
Best in Show, English related: Lady Ysolt la Bretonne,
for an embroidered Elizabethan slip applied to a
velvet hanging.
Best Documentation, English related: Lady Maighread,
for her first late period embroidery work (an
Elizabethan coif)
Best Male Garb: Master Robert Bedingfield, for an
Elizabethan man's coat (nicely trimmed in bunny fur),
and honorable mention to my favorite knight, Sir
Keigan Broussard.
Best Female Garb: ought oh, my memory is failing here.
I believe her name is Lady Katherine...and she hand
sewed a gold Tudor gown & underdress...Honorable
mention to Countess Mary Grace of Gatland
The first place winner in the Cooking competition made
a lovely tree out of marzipan, with fallen leaves &
acorns that were really yummy. I can't remember the
spelling of her name, Lady "Ina" (from Yarnvid, I
think). Second place to Lady Hrosthvita von Cell, for
a basket full of apples that really weren't (they were
made from almonds and currants etc, and I really,
really, really want the recipe!)
The list of scribal winners I don't dare attempt
without looking at the list given me by the Scrivner
Royal, so I'll post that from home.
