[MR] quick clarification on spike

just a quick note to clarify why i was asking about red seahorses.  i have
received many private emails asking e why not blue ones.

we are fielding with the middle this year (the red team) against our good
friends from the east (the blue team).  so we should probably wear the right
colors on the field.
