Lady Rhiannon of Berra

About your chairs that break...

Talking as a person who ways close to Three hundred pounds. You probably are not making the right design. I have two designs that I've made over the years that support my weight and the weight on another individual. One design is a the 'X-wing' s also called a CHERULE chair (sp?) Holds a lot of weight when made to the plan but are hard to transport. On the other hand we have just completed several chairs that break down and our made out of plywood so they look rather period and are easy to construct.

Two of these chairs can be made out of 4x8 sheet of plywood (about $30 at Lowe's $50 if you want it out of Oak plywood.) So it's cheaper than the ugly modern chairs... The chairs can be cut out and finished in about 8 hours (with plenty of breaks.) If anyone is interested in the design feel free to contact me and we will try to put together a scale drawing and directions for them.

Sir Godfried

P.S

I will respond to the issue of the period pavilions when I get back from University this weekend if anybody wants to debate it with me see me there.
