I am not the autocrat, nor am I associated with the site, but I do know what sometimes causes this sort of language.
Some campsites, especially those with cabins, do not generally allow tents of any kind whatsoever to be erected. This is generally because of the perceived damage to the ground tents can do (or so I've been told)
Some of those sites are generous enough to stretch their rules and allow the setup of period pavillions because we're a re-creation organization and it adds ambiance and etc, etc, etc.
So it may well be a site constraint, and therefore not the autocrat's responsiblilty or fault.

So by this announcement am I correct in assuming that if you do not take a
cabin space and do not have a period pavillion you cannot camp?
If that is a correct assumption, when have we become so discriminatory that we
will not allow people to participate because they do not or cannot afford a
period pavillion. Yes I realize there is cabin space at this point but suppose
there was not?
