[MR] 55 Gallon Plastic Barrels

I know there's a place in Norfolk, VA that deals in bulk vegetables and such that uses those barrels, both the 55-gal size and the smaller size.  Used to be, they were happy to sell 'em off, but I haven't dealt with them for a while.  If you want me to follow up, contact me off-list and I'll check it out.

The flip side of this is, they deal in things like olives, relish, pickles, and so forth, so the aroma is not as pleasant as with the cider barrels.  The one that I bought, years ago, had contained green olives (still had a few left in it) and was, shall we say, redolent.  I put a few gallons of warm water and a big slug of liquid soap in it and rolled it around my lawn, then hosed it out thoroughly; that reduced the aroma to a bearable level.
