To all whom have replied,

Thank you for your quick replies. As for more specific information on
time and place... Hmmm.

I am looking for practical information on making garb for a man who is
new to the SCA. He has been to Pennsic in T-tunic and quasi-Middle Eastern
garb with his college-age daughter, but is now looking to join the SCA
himself and get some more authentic garb. I will try to find out more about
which area of the world and time period he is interested in. He may not
know the answer to that right away. Do you folks have any suggestions for
places to look that may help him decide on a more specific time and place?
I am woefully inept at answering Middle Eastern questions and will defer to
your answers.

Thanks again,
Sorcha :)
