Barnes & Noble used to have a book that sounds like it is what you are 
looking for.

English Weapons & Warfare 449 - 1660, by A.V.B. Norman & Don Pottinger.  
Published in 1992 by B&N.  ISBN  0-88029-044-7

It's been a few years since I got my copy, so I have no idea if they still 
have it.  I found mine in the bargain section right when you walk in.  Think 
I paid about 2 bucks for it. ;-)  Gotta love that bargain section.
