[MR] Research question-Arms and armor

I have the joy of getting to prepare a research paper on medieval arms and
armor and I need some help finding books to footnote my paper with.
Unfortunately, I cannot footnote what I have learned in the SCA in the last
7 years or so.  The main focus is the Norman conquest and the next 200-250
years.  Mostly English history but I also have to include some of the arms
and armor of the continent since they obviously were connected.  These need
to be books that are easily available, hopefully something local libraries
or bookstores might carry so that I can get a hold of them in time to write
my paper.  I appreciate any help anyone may have to offer and request that
