[MR] [atlantianrapiernet] Rapier at Highland River Melees

Howdy!

Allow me to invite all of you to cross blades at Highland River Melees.  It
should be a well attended event full of fighting and other spiff stuff!  We
will be playing two prizes this day, the Free Scholar prize of Ld. Stephen
Bridewell and the long-awaited Provost prize of THL Gunther von Drachenburg,
so come cheer on these worthy gentles (or at least taunt them for their
folly).

In order to help prepare the kingdom's fighters for war, we will also be
fighting a number of melees that you will find at the wars of the Knowne
World.  Prior to each scenario we will have brief instructions from the
Provosts on tactics and how to succeed in each fight.  Hopefully you will
learn something that will help you fight well at War.  Most of these
scenarios will be resurrection, to maximize fighting time and minimize
standing around time.  Feel free to bring your RBGs, as we will be using
them a bit.

Tentative schedule:

10am  Inspections and authorizations
(note that we usually do alot of authorizations at this event, so if you are
authorizing, please show up early and get your paperwork in order.  Also, if
you are a marshal, expect to be put to work for awhile)

11am  Free Scholar Prize  (don't forget to show up Stephen)

High noon (give or take)  Provost prize  (we will find you Gunther...)

1-ish  Melees!

Following the melees there should be plenty of time for pick ups and
instruction.  There should be lots of Provosts and FSs around, so be sure to
take advantage of the situation.
