Greetings,
I ask again: In reference to Sacred Stone's Baronial Birthday, I understand
that period pavilions are allowed by the list field. But does this mean that
sleeping in said period pavilions is allowed?
Ceara
Yes, sleeping in period pavillions at Baronial Birthday is allowed.
Unfortunately, there is simply not any place on that site (Camp York) to set up
any sort of tent other than immediately around the list field. Therefore, only
period pavillions set up around the list field will be allowed, on a first come
first serve basis. Please state your desire to set up a pavillion on the list
field when making reservations. This is not an attempt to be exclusionary or
make anyone feel unwelcome. There is a lot of cabin space, but not really any
space for tenting.
Also, Kings Mountain State Park has a camping area - anyone who prefers to camp
in their modern tent rather than stay in a cabin (which genrally sleep 2-6
people) can do so in that portion of the park. You will need to make those
arrangements with the park. There are also hotels less than 15 minutes away.
If you plan to camp in the tenting portion of the park, you'll be charged the
camping rate at Kings Mountain but only as a day trip to the event. Here is
the web site for the state park:

I hope that clarifies for everyone.
Sincerely,
Neca, autocrat for Sacred Stone Baronial Birthday
