anyone planning on going to return to troy next weekend please pay special
attention to the web site (http://charlesbury.atlantia.sca.org).  it
contains the most up to date info available.  also there has been a change
in the hotel.  please read the entire message for that info.

since i have been asked more than once i will remind everyone planning on
fighting that there will be authorizations available throughout the day.

the bear pit starts at 10:30am and all teams must be on site and signed up
by 10am so we can get to the downtown area in time.  that means simply that
your team MUST be signed up by 10am even if all your fighters are not there
yet.  no teams will be allowed more than 5 fighters and 1 archer.  should
you show up at 930 and none of your mates have arrived go ahead and sign up
your team!  if you happen to be the only one that makes it downtown (a very
short distance away) then you are a team of one!  no biggie.

however, if you do not get your team signed in on time you will not be able
to participate as a team.  this is to ensure everything flows very smoothly.
thus far it appears that we are going to have a large number of teams.  some
baronies have already boasted having 4 or more teams competing.  more than
80 people have emailed lord phillip and expressed their intent to eat the
bbq that day.  this is all great news but it does mean that we will have to
be on time for things (i know, a foreign concept in the sca).

so please be there to get signed in!!!

ALSO AS MANY OF YOU HAVE ALREADY DISCOVERED.....  there was a major screw up
with the original hotel, the hampton.  the new hotel will be the days inn.
the rate is the same $60 for a double.  the number is 336-526-6777 (tell
them you are with the sca for the elkin festival).
