For those who may not have gotten their Acorns yet, and might therefore be
wondering...

In the July Acorn's letter from the Triton Herald, it was announced that the
result of the polling to restore the ermine spots on the Queen's arms was a
Majority of those responding being in favor of NOT making the change.

However, several people made an alternate suggestion which has caught the
Crown's eye, replacing the escallop (seashell, whatever) with a Crown.

Fundamentally, it would have the effect of making the Queen's Arms identical
to the King's, with the exception of a chaplet of Roses rather than a Laurel
Wreath.

A polling on this change was placed in the Center fold of the July Acorn. I
believe the deadline was end of August, but I do not recall for certain.

Hopefully this eliminates any possible confusion.

Logan also wanted to remind everyone that the polling for the Queen's proposed
heraldry is in the July issue of The Acorn. The rendition, however, is not
exactly how it would be drawn. The crown on the arms would be identical to
the crown currently on the King's arms (it is drawn a little differently on
the polling form).
