Thank you very much for setting up the Coronation site for us, we really appreciate it. Could you please post the following on the site:
Armored Combat:
There shall be four lists held simultaneously, and all fighters are encouraged to participate in all four lists. The lists shall be run in such a manner that a participating fighter need not be concerned with being called to more than one list at a time. The lists shall be:
Counted Blows With Greatswords. On a field measuring 20' by 20', two fighters will vie with greatswords to be first to score six of ten counted blows. Thrusting is permitted, as is grasping the opponent's hilt. Any fighter who steps from the list during the combat without being forced to do so shall forfeit the bout. No secondary weapons may be carried in the list.
Sword and Matched Bucklers. On a field measuring 20' by 20', two fighters will compete with swords and matched bucklers, the victor being the fighter who first strikes a killing blow. Thrusting is permitted and leaving the list does not result in forfeiture of the bout. Bucklers will be provided but fighters should remember to bring adequate protection for the shield arm since it will be unprotected by the buckler.
Matched Boarspears. On a field measuring 20' by 20', two fighters will compete with matched boarspears (unpadded glaives sanctioned for the event by the Crown). Boarspears will be provided. Thrusting is permitted and the victor will be the fighter who first strikes a killing blow. A fighter who leaves the list without being forced out forfeits the bout.
Open list. On a field measuring 20' by 20', two combatants will fight by Atlantian conventions, each with the weapons of his choosing. Leaving the list will not result in forfeiture.
The above lists will be conducted in round robin format for three hours. At the conclusion of the day's fighting, Cuan and Padraigin will declare a Tournament Champion based upon number of victories, number of lists entered, field presence, and courtesy dispalyed. Particular examples of prowess, field presence, and courtesy will also be recognized. We hope that all the fighters of our kingdom will join in with a good will.
Cuan
