[MR] REMINDER: Combat Archery Practice/Event - July 7th

Come one, come all.

Remember that the Barony of Highland Foorde is holding a Combat Archery 
practice/event on July 7th (Sunday).

If you are coming up for the Kingdom Target Archery Championship on the 
6th, just stay for a day, and come to the combat archery practice the next day!

Northern Regional Combat Archery Practice

All Combat Archers of Atlantia, pay heed (especially those in our Northern 
Reaches) ...

The Barony of Highland Foorde will be hosting a Combat Archery Practice on 
July 7th (a Sunday).

Activities: Combat Archery, Combat Archery, Combat Archery! We will talk 
shop, discuss strategy, practice our aim, skirmish, shoot IKCAC's and more. 
Specific activities will be chosen based upon the feeling of the crowd at 
the event, and the number of people we have show up.

Authorizations: YES! We will be holding CA Authorizations. So come with 
your armor & weapons, and leave an authorized Combat Archer ready for Pennsic!

Food: You are on your own for lunch (eat before you come, bring food, take 
a break, it's up to you!). But there will be a pot-luck dinner for all who 
wish to join in! To eat from the dinner, simply bring a food dish large 
enough to feed yourself and four more. There will be a grill there, and at 
least hot dogs will be provided for everyone - bring your own stuff for the 
grill if you want.

Time: The event will begin promptly at 11:00am. Show up earlier, and you 
will help set up IKCAC targets *grin*. Around 5-6pm we will get the 
pot-luck dinner going. Practicing/eating/socializing will continue until 
everyone decides to go home, or around 9:00pm, when the co-autocrats will 
want to go home!

Fees: None, Zero, Zilch - It's a practice, come practice. Although standard 
fees for authorizing, blue cards, etc will need to be charged.

Site: The site is the Frederick National Guard Armory in Frederick, MD. 
Note that there may not be accessible bathrooms on site (They may be open, 
they may not), as we are outside only. But bathrooms are just a minute's 
drive away, as is fast food & gas stations.

Directions from west of Frederick: Take I-70 through Frederick to exit 56. 
Turn left at the end of the ramp on to MD 144. Stay in the right lane and 
turn right into the armory after one quarter mile. It is the only right turn.

Directions from south of Frederick: Take either I-270 or US 15 to I-70 
eastbound. Both now have ramps directly onto I-70! Take I-70 through 
Frederick to exit 56 . Turn left at the end of the ramp on to MD 144. Stay 
in the right lane and turn right into the armory after one quarter mile. It 
is the only right turn.

Directions from east of Frederick: I-70 west toward Frederick. Take exit 59 
for MD 144 several miles before you get to Frederick. Make a right at the 
bottom of the ramp and continue on MD 144 west for approximately 2 miles. 
The Armory will be on your left, across from the Park-n-Ride lot, soon 
after crossing the Monocacy River.
