Food lovers unite! The Barony of Caer Mear (Richmond, VA) cordially
invites you to a celebration of Catalan cuisine on March 9, AS XXXVI

dancing, food, and congenial company. There will be arts and games in the
morning, music and entertainment throughout the day, a banquet from
mid-afternoon into the evening, dancing and good company into the night.
Banquet: Master Thomas Longshanks and his kitchen crew will present a
feast in 6 courses, with dishes selected from Catalan cookbooks of the
14th and 15th centuries:

Ayada blanqua a pex ab aygua (Poached fish with white garlic sauce)

Pastaneguat (Lightly fried puree of carrots)
Jurvert a porc en ast (Spit-roasted pork with green sauce)

A table of confits will follow the banquet for your enjoyment throughout
the evening.
A fine meal is incomplete without good wine. Bring your favorites, or
contact Master Thomas for a list of very good, inexpensive Catalan wines
he recommends you bring for various dishes.
N.B.: Most dishes INCLUDE nuts or almond milk. Most dishes are NOT
vegetarian. Please contact Master Thomas for a complete list of
ingredients.
