[MR] Ice Castles - Black Diamond

This is the official announcement that Black Diamond has cancelled Ice
Castles for this year.  I apologize for the late post, but we wanted to make
sure we were doing the right thing.

The original site (Armory in Christiansburg) went into lockdown because of
the war.  The first word we received said it would probably be available for
the event.  We later learned it was not going to be available.  The second
site (a church) gave us a good outlook, but needed the official "blessing"
from a committee.  As I'm sure many of you have experienced, we were later
told "our objectives and values don't appear to blend well with those of
your group....  so, no, our facilities are unavailable".

  Since the event would need to be post-poned until March for proper
publication in the Acorn, Black Diamond has elected to CANCEL Ice Castles
for this year and concentrate on the future.

  Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing all our
friends at Ice Castles NEXT year.
