Greetings Everyone!
The Barony of Marinus is holding an event on April 20 called "The Pen or The
Sword?". At this event we will be offering classes in the scribal arts.
Offers of classes in Heraldry and other Arts and Sciences topics will also be
entertained.
If you would like to teach a class at this event, then please contact the
autocrat, Lady Brandwyn Alston of the Rift (Stella) at brndalston at aol.com or
(757) 488-3597 and give her the following information:
Name of class
Name of instructor
Duration of class (one hour, two hours)
Limit of class size
Fee for class
Materials students should bring (if any)
Preferred time to hold class (morning or afternoon)
The event will be on Saturday, April 20 from 8am to 8 pm. Classes start at 10
am and end at 6 pm with a lunch break. Lunch will be $3.00 and is a
fundraiser for the Kingdom Scribe Fund. The location of the event is
Stonebridge Elementary School on Jolliff Road in Chesapeake, Virginia (Just
off I-664 and 58/460/13 intersection).
Besides the classes there will also be tournaments and workshops in armored
combat, rapier and target archery. Merchants are welcome. There will not be a
feast, but I am hoping to have a post revel at a hotel as soon as I get one
nailed down. There are also several A&S competitions planned.
Contact the autocrat for more information. A flyer will be posted soon.
Thank you,
Brandy
