My Lords, Ladies , and "others" <grin>, my husband and I are considering
opening
a store in Augusta, GA later this year. We would be the Oak & Thistle
Bazaar, carrying supplies for crafters, gamers, and hobbyists. We are both
medieval re-creationists and have been frustrated in the past at the
difficulties of finding costuming supplies, notions and accessories and I'm
sure you have run into that problem, too. We are looking into filling that
hole in this area and are trying to find out if it would be practical. We
have lines to wholesale suppliers that carry fabrics, patterns, notions, as
well as those hard to find accessories like badges, buckles,
buttons, blades, etc. We are trying to put together a business proposal in
order to get financing and need to gather information as to whether or not
there would be enough call for this type of item to justify opening a store.
Please pass this survey on to anyone else you can think of that might be
interested . Please send your replies to oakandthistle at knology.net
1. Would you be interested in a store in Augusta that would carry costuming
supplies and accessories for re-enactors and re-creationists?
2. What type of items would you like to see in such a shop?
3. Where do you get these items currently?
4. How often do you buy these types of items?
5. How large is your group and where are you located?
6. How much would you estimate you spend per year on these items?
Thank you very much for your time and cooperation.
