[MR] general R+D curiosity

Greetings to the Tavern!
 I am relatively new to the SCA, only been around
aprox. 3 years, and I had never even heard of this
whole R+D bit until just recently. I am now wondering,
how often does the BoD actually decide to revoke
someone's membership? What sort of situations tend to
bring about such severe consequences? No names or
specifics please, I'm just curious.
