No, I have only seen this inside of fine clothing that
was purchased, for instance, men's trousers. I
suspect that you can only find it within the garment
industry in the US.

I have made linen bias tape myself (not iron on, of
course) because it works so much better on the bias
for curved edgings, pleated cuffs, etc. It is pretty
easy if you have one of those cardboard cutting boards
that have geometrical markings on them. I would take
a yard or so of basic white linen left over from
making a shift or shirt and affix it to the cardboard
in a few places with painters tape, aligning it very
carefully on the grain with the bottom of the cutting
grid that has the bias (diagonal) cutting lines on it.
I would then press it gently so that I could see said
lines through the white fabric and mark cutting lines
with a sharpie. I would then cut the strips so that
there are no sharpie lines when I am done. I then
fold it or wind it up carefully so that I do not
stretch it out of shape and put it away for future
projects. You can fold both edges into the center
with an iron before you put it away so that it looks
like purchased bias tape. Takes 10 minutes of anal
retentive zen concentration, 20 if you also iron the
folds.

=====
Magdalena de Hazebrouck-Purpure, a fess fusilly argent between three torches or. While Joshua was near Jericho, he raised his eyes and saw one who stood facing him, drawn sword in hand. Joshua went up to him and asked "Are you one of us or of our enemies?" He replied, "Neither. I am the captain of the host of the Lord and I have just arrived in this valley." Joshua 5, 13-14.
