Sir Colin,

You know that I count you amongst my friends, and you also know that upon whatever day it is you are fortunate, inspired, and skillful enough to win the right to place the Crown upon your Lady's head I will be amongst those cheering loudest for you.

However...

I fail to see how that accomplishment would be limited by allowing those Kingdoms who wish it to choose an alternative method. Absolutely NO ONE is advocating making Atlantia change her process. NO ONE is advocating forcing any monarch anywhere to choose any system involving melee.

I would be extraordinarily amazed if a poll in Atlantia found significant support for instituting the Crown War system as described on the Webpage. I would be even more amazed if any of our fine Monarchs implemented it. However, what gives us the right to dictate to An Tir how they should choose their Monarch?

By leaving the rules as they stand, no one is forced to do anything. By forcing a Kingdom to choose single combat and only single combat, the proposal before the BoD is reducing the number of choices, totally destroying the opportunity for experimentation, and not accomplishing anything.

The honor of your Lady can still be satisfied in abundance in the Crown you one day win, even if An Tir is choosing their monarch by a game of tiddlywinks.

Good Sir, kindly explain how making this change in Corpora bolsters your goal of idealizing your Lady's honor.

In eager anticipation,

Gorm of Berra
