First, sorry for duplicates.  Second, sorry if I didn't include your area.  Upper parts of NC will also be affected by this and Virginia should stay alert just in case.  I don't normally do this, but this weather event is an exception to the norm.  Below is my forecast for western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

For all cities (Wednesday and Thursday):
·Damaging Ice Accumulation
·Expect Power Outages
·School Closings
·Roads Blocked or Shutdown

ASHEVILLE & WNC:

AFTER MIDNIGHT (Tuesday Night - Wednesday Morning): 50% of snow or
sleet.  Low of 29
WEDNESDAY: mix of all winter precip possible but freezing rain most
likely.  This means roads may be covered with ice as well as trees
and power lines.  Accumulation ~ 1 - 1.5 inches of ice/snow.  Expect
power outages, school closings, and roads to be blocked. High of 31.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: freezing rain contining falling over night
THURSDAY: end of freezing rain but flurries may continue
THURSDAY NIGHT: end of winter weather

MADISON:
SAME AS ASHEVILLE EXCEPT: ice totals near 2 inches

SALISBURY, MARION, HICKORY, MORGANTON, RUTHERFORDTON, TRYON:
WEDNESDAY: sleet and snow.  snow/ice accumulation ~ 2 inches.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: freezing rain. Low 29.
THURSDAY: freezing rain diminishing.  High 39.

CHARLOTTE, GASTONIA:
WEDNESDAY: chance of sleet and snow late in the morning.  change to
freezing rain, then sleet, then snow into the afternoon.
accumulation ~ 1 inch.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: freezing rain throughout the night. significant
accumulation.
THURSDAY: freezing rain diminishing.  end in the morning.

GREENVILLE, SPARTANBURG:
WEDNESDAY: early morning begin sleet/snow.  increase intensity in
morning hours and freezing rain likely.  accumulations ~1 inch.  High
31.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: freezing rain. significant accumulation.  Low 30.
winter weather ending overnight
