Middle Eastern Drum and Dance Competition

As the daylight fades into the cool crisp night the warriors rest, thankful
the battles are over and peace has come over the land once more. Within
the moonrise come the mists creeping along the paths and covering all they
meet. But dancing along these mists is a
sound. Rhythmic. Mysterious. To many the sound passes by, unheard, but
to others the message is clear the drums are calling and they must be
answered.

Soon others have gathered from the surrounding hills for the drums know no
Kingdom boundaries and in their presence members of all the tribes are
united as family. The dancers dressed in their finest twirl about the
fires each trying to outshine the others; the women graceful and flowing
with the rhythm while the men re-enact their days battles, to the delight
of the tribesman watching from the edges. The drums race ever faster and
the rhythms grow ever more complex; one by one they fall silent until only
the masters of the art can continue.

The drums will sound their call Friday night at Estrella War in the Barony
of Atenveldt encampment to see who in the lands will win the prizes as the
best dancers and drummers. The competition will begin at 8PM and general
drumming and dancing will continue when the contest has been
won. Registrations to compete in the competition will be accepted from 3pm
until 6PM the day of the contest. Details of the competition will be
posted at Estrella War.

Wanted: Musicians and entertainers to perform and judges to choose the
winners. Contact Safa al Abal at tleeann at prodigy.net with questions.
