There are also two very fundamental ways you can communicate with the 
Board, and you only need to do it 1 to 4 times a year.

1. Comment on the candidates for the Board!!!

Remember, the 525 comments they got on funding the corporation was by 
far and away a record (I believe it doubled the previous response) on 
any issue.  It hasn't been uncommon for topics to only get 20-30 
letters.  Comments on Board members get even less... and sometimes this 
is pretty much all that the Board has to go on.  They need to know what 
people think of the candidates.  We don't get o vote, but we can let 
them know when someone is a particularly bad candidate or a very good 
one.

2. Nominate candidates for the Board!!

If you know someone you think would serve the Society well on the Board 
of Directors, nominate them.  If you think you could, nominate 
yourself!  The Board is constrained to people on the list of candidates 
and past members of the Board.  Put  more good people in as candidates 
and we'll get (better?) Boards.
