Have you tried looking in Forbes, R.J.: Studies in Ancient Technology?
In it's nine volumes it should include a great deal on most technologies
of the Ancient World. I am relatively sure glass is one of them.

Also Singer's History of Technology Volume I and II cover the Ancient
to Renaissance Worlds. III begins the industrial Revolutions. Most
Libraries carry this one.
