But it was reasonable for him to clarify it.  He and I are two of the 
more vocal folks (at least on this list) who are unhappy with the 
change, and he knew that I had already said that I had both commented 
and attended the meeting, so he was concerned that he might be 
considered boorish.  Which he isn't.  Not wanting to allow a 
misunderstanding to become an affront to honor he allowed you to 
clarify, which you did.  Honor is preserved; we now know you weren't 
calling Pedro's behavior boorish.
