[quoting another cast member's post, from another list]
The Virginia Renaissance Faire is back, and this year it's on tour.
(Plus, as an added bonus, they have *me* in the cast! ::pose:: )
This coming weekend, May 4th and 5th, we're playing Locust Shade Park
in Prince William County.
Because parking is pathetically limited at Locust Shade, only
handicapped parking will be permitted at the faire site itself.
General parking will be at Potomac High School, on Route 1 in
Dumfries, about 1.5 miles north of route 234. There will be (free)
shuttles running between the school and the park.
(Directions: Route 95 to exit 152 Route 234 East. Turn Left (North)
on Route 1. The school is about 1.5 miles up on the left. Park.)
This is an important show for us, because it's our first "home" show
(we opened in Williamsburg April 20th, but that was expected to be a
small show). We're attempting to get support from investors and so
forth, and having a really big gate-count for this weekend's show
will help to ensure that we can continue you bring you busty wenches
and well-muscled men for a good long time. And beer. Did I forget
to mention the beer?
Tickets are $14.50/adult, $9.50/kids (5-15), $9.50/seniors (65 and
up). Kids under 5 free with adult. There are $2-off coupons
available at http://www.staffordshire-events.com/ . Print out as
many as you have people in your party; the people at the ticket
booth may be draconian and require one coupon per person or something
daft like that.

stuck in the eye with a rapier. Then it's a *really* good show!
