May 10th - 12th - The Tournament of the Enchanting Wood
Barony of Black Diamond, Willis, VA

Deep in the highlands of Black Diamond lies the lovely Enchanting Wood -a 
place so beautiful that it is widely believed that a night spent there will 
bless with a merry heart for yet a twelfth moon.  Baron Vladimir invites all 
to join him there for a spring revel of tournaments, song, dance, music, and 
storytelling.

Martial Activities: A tournament featuring great sword and bastard sword 
with counted blows will be held for heavy combatants.  Rapier fighting will 
be a series of melees (a good chance for ships to practice melee tactics).  
Archery activities will be target archery only.

Arts & Sciences:  There will be a bardic competition with any performing art 
acceptable.  Documentation will count but is not required.  Original works 
highly regarded.

Feast:  A feast of delight for eye and palate will be prepared by Glidrachan 
Donnchadh (Robin Byrd).  She may be contacted with dietary concerns at 
(540)890-8473 until 10pm.  Feast will be limited to 75 gentles, so reserve 
early. Bring candles for your table as the feast will be candlelit.  
Breakfast (on Saturday as well as Sunday) and lunch (on Saturday) will be 
available for purchase.

Children's Activities:  Activities for small gentles will be provided by 
Lady Metylda the Cunning (Nikki Early).  These will include games, crafts, 
and storytelling.  Children under the age of four must be accompanied by a 
parent or guardian.  All parents are invited to participate in the 
activities.  Lady Metylda does ask, however, that parents spend at least 
fifteen minutes assisting with the activities.  Please contact her with any

Site: The site is Daddy Rabbit's Campground in Floyd County, Willis, VA 
24380. This site is a full service campground with hot showers and fire 
hearths in individual camp sites.  Site will open Friday, May 10th, at 5pm 
and close Sunday, May 11th at 12pm.  Site rules do not allow pets.  Site is 
wet, but please, no original containers.

Fees: On site/On board Adults: $15.00; On site/Off board Adults: $10.00; Day 
trip Adults: $5.00; Small under 12 are $5.00 off the above prices; babes 
under 2 years are our guests.
