[MR] Early Music Concert

The Early Music Ensemble at Virginia Tech will be presenting a concert on
Sunday,  April 21st, at 3pm in the Recital Hall, Squires Student Center,
Virginia Tech campus, Blacksburg.  The first half of the program will be a
number of medieval songs from as early as the 11th century, in several
languages including Catalan and Occitan (we do our best, folks), accompanied
by period instruments where possible.  The second half of the program will
be Purcell's "Come, Come, Ye Sons of Art", written in 1693 to celebrate the
32nd (and last) birthday of Queen Mary.

The EME is where we explore new horizons and stretch our comfort zones!
About half the participants are taking it as a course for credit, and the
rest are in it for fun.  Come join us!
