Duke Sir Cuan has exspressed a need for a special unit to be formed for Bridge battles.

SO......

Wanted

I am looking for a few good fighter. Very large shieldmen (Men over 180lbs, Ladies over 150lbs.) that are not afraid of anything on the field. Not to act in a unchivelrous or unfair maner on the field, but willing to receive abuse and return it. Cannot be slow of wits, or of feet.

A foundness for rattan swords reminessant of a 2x4 a deffinate plus.

Must have a shield 24 inches by 42 inches or better with a square top and rounded bottom. (Metal face prefered, no center grips)

This will not be a unit for the timid!

This unit will be built for Bridge battles; providing a wall for spearman, denying a charge, or politley asking our enemies to GET OFF OUR BRIDGE! (All bridges that Atlantia stands on are OURS!)

Applicants must be patient, strong willed, and realise that part of the job is letting the spearmen return through the wall if they are being charged by the enemy. (Not squished against our shields.) Basically we are going to get the toughest, dirtiest, most unglamerous job that can be handed to a bunch of fighters. We will be the Grunts of Atlantia, and take great pride in that fact.

Must be able to go to The Hero's Portion, Highland River Melees, War Assestment and as many of the War Practices as possible. (or if His Grace Cuan calls) Attending Marinus Collegium, and Feast of Thirty also a plus. We will need to practice together as much as possible to get all on the same page for commands and formations. You need to be able to go to Pennsic, and possible Gulf Wars next year.

Do not apply if you cannot make this commitment.

Death Benefits provided, no dental coverage. We do participate in the Spears for Beers program.

So if you want a challenge, meet interesting people from other kingdoms and beat them silly, answer this add.
